Kawartha Nordic recently hosted its first ParaNordic Try It day with an introduction to sit-skiing workshop. Individuals from as far away as Burlington and Kingston attended the workshop that was supported by SOD and its ParaNordic Director Gary Fohr. Joining Gary were a number of volunteers from Kawartha Nordic who helped facilitate a new recreation experience for almost all of those who attended. In all, eight new sit-skiers took part. The event was excellent and Kawartha Nordic is committed to continuing to offer more ParaNordic opportunities and experience at the club. A few photos of the event are shown below.
